Y is off

Did not have a problen with that, that was the first thing I did after I made the body of the building. You can pick the shift tool and zoom in to see the gismo setting at 0,0,0.Thanks for your replys so now what do I try?

Ok I’ve made a new signal tower and have gotten It in the asset editor.I moved the body to the 0,0,0 and worked from there. After I moved parts around in the hiarchkey and then try to export It goes in at the hight of the building, so all you see Is the roof. When I check each part in propertys they all have the same thing 0,7.498,0 whitch is the hight of the building. It’s sets right in 3DC so If i change it to 0,0,0 then It drops to building hight in 3DC.Any idea what I did and how to get it set right. Thanks wvman.

It sounds to me to be a common problem. Most people have a bit of a problem with how to set the centre of an object to get it to sit correctly in a scene. You need the centre set at the bottom of the object for it to sit correctly. This is as opposed to the middle of the object or it’s actual dimensions. You need to go to the shift tool on the right of the screen, select it then select an object that is part of your Main (or whatever you use as the ‘root'(?)object) then hold down the CTRL key and ‘drag’ the centre of the object down to 0,0,0. A search through the forums here will be more specific.

Try my ShiftGroupAndAnimation script.

Select an object in the main group, run the script and enter -7.498 into the Y shift value.

This has the same effect as using the Ctrl key and shift, but it is a precise amount and does not disrupt any animations in the model – the other method will.
