Win can’t see exporting tool

Thanks Gerrit, you are the man! <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –> The latest entry in the thread that explained to turn off user account control did the trick. I entered the command line into the normal Run command line. The only weird part of it was I had to reregister. I guess I should turn that account control back on, correct? Anyway, deeply appreciated, I was all set to take the laptop back and buy a Jacuzi instead. Maybe I’ll still get the jacuzi anyway….

Got a laptop with win 7 professional on it and installed 3dc 7.2 on it. Seems to be working fine except after copying the rgis2.dll file to the appropriate folder, 3dC doesn’t see the new dll. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Rich

Hi Rich

You probably need to register the DLL
Open a command prompt and type this
regsvr32 ‘c:program files3DC 7pluginsImportExportRSIGS2.dll’
That is, if 3DC is installed in the default location, otherwise edit the command line accordingly

Thanks Gerrit. I gave it a try only having to add (x86) to the command line but I get an error which I looked up and here’s what it says:

I’ve been slow to pursue this problem but I plan on downloading CCleaner which the CCleaner forums personnel say CCleaner is compatible with Win 7. But are you guys not getting this same error?

Rich

Hi Rich

If you get this error while registering the DLL, try running the command prompt as Administrator.

BTW I did not get this error.
