Hi. Is there a reason why the status bar shows the position of an object and the [b:2nj7683i]right click – properties[/b:2nj7683i] of the object shows a different position (see below)? I believe the status bar position is the correct one. Maybe I’m missing something. Thanks! andnbsp;:)

;D I figured this one out too. I came upon the same situation where the positions didn’t match. After staring at the tool tip in the properties box for a few seconds, I realized what [b:2lr6epp5]Position Relative To Parent[/b:2lr6epp5] meant. I shuffled things around in the [b:2lr6epp5]Scene Hierarchy[/b:2lr6epp5] and moved the object away from it’s andquot;parentandquot;. Then I could make sense of the postions that were reported for the object.

They’re right! I learn something new everyday! andnbsp;8)

Ahhh yes… World coordinates vs. Parent (model) coordinates. I think the docs mention that the right-click coordinates are relative parent. There is a really good reason why this is the way it is, but at this moment I forget why andnbsp;:-[
