Just tried three textures after reading Bremen’s post. A 256×256 .tga and a 512×512 .bmp both have the flicker but a 1024×1024 .bmp does not.
All three seem to apply textures OK.

Installed 6.6.5.11, and like it so far, but I do have one weird problem. When I drag the curser in, the Texture Cropping Window, yellowish white full width bars flicker across the window. Is the same in all curser directions and stops when the mouse button is released. No, I have not been smoking anything. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> Tried to get a screen shot of it but the flicker duration is apparently too short to catch it.
Is there any fix to this other then reinstalling?
Thanks in advance, Bill <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
I’m not sure exactly what is causing this, though I do have an idea.
I’m going to have a look at it for 6.6.5.12, but until then there isn’t anything you can do unfortunately.
With textures (bmp or tga) of 1024*1024 pixel there isn’t the problem.
When a texture have one of the side under 645 pixel (example 644*643) the problem start to be seen. At least here.. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
Bye bye
Shouldn’t textures always be even numbers? IE: 32×32 64×64 128×128 1024×1024
Sorry i left out a piece. <!– s:D –><!– s:D –>
This is the correct version:
-andgt; When a texture have the two side under 645 pixel (example 644*643) the problem start to be seen.
Yes i know that a texture have to be square to be used into msts.. but the problem there is with a texture that is 644*1 or 644*644 <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
Under 645 all the combination gave a flickering result.
Bye Bye
