Was wondering if a NWN plugin/script is possible.

Yes, an exporter could be implemented through a script or a plugin. I’m not sure how to do it myself, since I’ve never written an exporter before. But I’ve seen exporters written for the scripting interface of 3DC. It seems reasonable that 3DC would extend enough functionality to do this with the plugins also.

Hi. andnbsp;I hate to bother you all with this andquot;newbieandquot; type question, but after searching this forum, I was unable to find any answers.

What I was wondering, was this is it possible with 3DC LP/PRO current version, to build a script/plugin that would take either a binary or ascii NWN’s (NeverwinterNights) model and import or export to and from 3DC?

Now, there will be no illegal issues to address with this as andquot;Biowareandquot; has made it clear that you can implement and share such models andquot;freelyandquot; on with their community as long as they’re for andquot;freeandquot;.

The reason I’m asking is this, there is already a andquot;freelyandquot; available 3DS Max script floating about and in the NWNoverride folder several complete NWN models in their andquot;acsiiandquot; format, with and without animations, so I know that its possible to code converters.

Another reason, I am interested in doing this, is because Milkshape has such a plugin, but their Interface is not as good as 3DC and 3DC has a lot more features that would be very useful.

Well, if anyone could make the time to answer this request, I would greatly appreciate it. andnbsp;Thank you. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
