But you should first help the old customers

I was an early user of 3DC. I think on that time (march 2007)Amabilis was happy to have customers who bought 3DC ! I bought 3DC Pro for 78.14 US$
I made all the upgrades (and the bugs !)until 3DC 7.
And now what I get in return ?
Pay again US$ 34.95 more to upgrade to version 8 ! (Recently buyers get it for free…)
I really do not understand this kind of bussiness !
Recent buyers get version 8 for free for quite a valid reason, I think.
Everyone who buys 3DC Pro/Plus etc gets a minimum of one free significant upgrade.
You purchased in March which means you got an upgrade to version 7.1 for free.
A person who purchased December 7th, is entitled to a free upgrade of some sort, just as you received. Since there are no more 7.x releases, the only option is to give them a free ugprade to 3DC 8.
It’s not 100% fair, but in the end everyone gets something, which is the point. You got version 7.1 for free, people who bought later than you got version 8.
It’s the best I can do. 3DC would cease to exist without the income I receive from upgrade purchases.
