What I would do is scale a cube (say to 10x10x1), apply the plan to the cube, and place it behind the object in the orthographic view. I have done this and it works well. Just remember that your texture (bitmap image) will have to be square or you will get distortion.

How do I install a backdrop such as an engine orthographic drawing? I have drawing of a PRR E-6 Atlantic I would like to build for MSTS and I cannot figure out how to insert the Atlantic’s blueprints as the backdrop. andnbsp; andnbsp;

Take a look at the tutorial ‘How to build a dinosaur’, I think it tells you what you need to know.

I have also tried this and it does work. However, when you switch to wire frame mode is there a way to keep the cube being used as a painted backdrop solid so that it is possible to see the drawing when working in wireframe?
