Thanks Richard – I should have realised that scaling was the answer.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I am trying to build a loco tender 25 foot in length

I have a side view BMP file of the tender and have resized this to 512 X 512 pixels

If i try to use this as a backdrop the image appears to be repaeted – if I set grid size to 24 foot (or any thing else not including an odd number all is ok)
Please help.

I’ll have a look at this to see what the cause is.

Richard

Hi Richard,

Sorry to be a pain but any ideas on this one yet?

Sorry. I meant to respond. I looked at this before I released 5.7a and didn’t find any problems. But I think I tried 24 not 25 :-[. I did find a issue at 25 where 1 unit was repeated.

You could just use some other size (say 10 feet). If you are modeling using backdrops, you only need to create the correct proportions for the model. You can always scale it to the right size later. If you set the size to 10 feet, you can scale it later by 2.5 and you have 25 feet.

Richard
