Use a Script/Pluggin to Change Specularity?

I have used it and it worked well. andnbsp; Thanks again.

I have created a caboose which has interior detail. andnbsp;I used two separate textures. andnbsp; One for Interior. andnbsp; One for Exterior.

I forgot to change the specularity when placing the Interior textures. andnbsp;I have since gone back and done them manually. andnbsp; My question is, for next time, is there a way to change these values for a given texture using a pluggin/script? andnbsp; If so, how do you do this specifically?

Thanks,
Mike

No I didn’t update. andnbsp;I am not familiar with this plugin or how it works.

There is a tutorial in the new version 5.0.5 on MSTS materials that discusses using it. Basically you sample the material that you want to change, change the material in the material palette to what you want it to be, select all the faces that use that material (there is a key-combination that does this ctrl-alt-select?), then use the UpdateMaterial plug-in. There is no need to re-map etc. It just replaces the material attributes.

Yes, a script could do this. It would take some effort to write the code to do it though. Did you update via the UpdateMaterial plug-in? That would speed things considerably.
