Just upgraded to 6.5.0.7 Pro. Now any time I try to load .tga texture files I get a ‘Unable to load textures. The file may be corrupt’- message. This is with both .tga files that I have used without any problem in previous 3DC versions, and newly made files. Is the same with and without alpha channels. .bmp files load and texture OK.
I assume I need to delete and reinstall, but thought I would check to see if I am missing something first.
Any help appreciated, Bill

Update – Just installed 6.5.0.7 Pro in my laptop, as a troubleshooting test, and have the same problem. I can not load a TGA texture file cuz I get the ‘Unable to load textures. The file may be corrupt’ message’.
This is in two different puters and with files I had no trouble loading with previous versions. Am thinking this must be a bug. Have tried about eight files that have worked previously, and can not believe they have all suddenly turned bad.
Richard, are you following this?

Another update – Just loaded Ver 6.6.0.2 and everything works great. That makes me a happy camper. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> Apparently 6.5.0.7 didn’t like me.
Also, Alphas made in PSP 9, as well as PSP 7, are working now. That makes me a very happy camper. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> Guess the bug in 8 has been fixed in 9.
Now I can quit wasting time fighting the system and start making models again. <!– s8-) –><!– s8-) –>

Glad you’re up and running again Bill and thanks for the news that PSP 9 will actually save an alpha channel in a tga file unlike the dog’s breakfast 8 was.
JASC were quite quick in getting version nine out. Seems they had more problems with version 8 than just the alpha problem. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

I assume the Pro upgrade (from the Help menu) was installed when you upgraded to 6.5.0.7? If not 3DC cannot load TGA files. (This changed in 6.6)
