I have built a semi-truck and trailer for Railworks, and have given it a nice shine using bumpspecenv. The problem is, it looks to glossy, like it’s been buffed about five times with Turtle Wax. What texture or map do I need to adjust, and how, to tone down the effect? The object uses:
– 1024×1024 main texture
– 1024×1024 grayscale bumpmap
– 1024×1024 solid black specular map
– 1024×1024 grayscale of the main texture, darkened 50% for env map
– TrainSpecBumpEnv.fx shader

Hi,
I assume this is for TS2012? The specularity is really quite strong there. My guess is you need to darken the alpha even more, probably quite substantially so.
Cheers,

For the best for me, and I use Diffuse 30, Ambient 1, Specular 0.
