Thanks Les, I removed the 3DC folder from my H.D. reloaded the base pack and on install i had an automatic upgrade to thr Pro version, all without pain, I am back in biss.

I was a bit hasty earlier. 3DC worked ok but i noticed that there was something strange with the object operation tool bar there were missing icons. So i checked a few menus and found all the wizards missing. I concluded that I might not have the latest 5.7 PRO version. so i went to the help menu and selected the upgrade function. It downloaded a file 14M. in size. I installed this upgrade and voila all the wiz. are in place and all the missing icons are installed. So now I am in bizz.

andnbsp; One should not forget to reload the upgrade. I was misled by the fact that on start up ,the opening box would say 3DC Professional edition.
