strange

Honestly, I haven’t the slightest clue at this point. One of those strange things that makes trying to support 3DC a joy.

Hi all. I have the latest 3dc installed on my vista system. in a non default drive, (D) and its been good and I have had few problems.

However today I had to switch of my USB backup drive to change out some cables. This should not have made a difference to anything, as I have no programs and no installers on this drive. However I forgot to turn it back on and when I started my PC I got error messages about 3DC and the windows installer not being able to locate files etc. This happened 2 or more times and I cancelled each time. This was at start up remember.
Anyway, I decided to try 3DC and clicked on the icon, and the same messages started appearing, about windows installer etc.

I decided I would try something, so switched the USB backup drive on and 3DC settled down and runs fine.

Anyone got any cluesandgt;??

so I wonder if there was ever a reason why this happens.
I have Never installed a program from this drive, its sole purpose is data storage.

just as a follow up to this problem, which I still have. I also noticed if I go to start RW_TOOLS the windows installer for 3DC comes up again trying do exactly the same as above.
