Storing FILENAME PATHS – Or Not.

I would like to mention that for me, and the quirky way that I develop models, I would like to see an option to *use* embedded pathnames when refering to filnames in the texture list (as it is now) or *not use* embedded path names and assume that all pathnames are ‘relative’ or ‘in the same directory as the 3dc file being edited’

Why? I find that when making similar but different models for MSTS, I use a previous model as a starting point. The problem is, it still makes hard references to the previous projects directory locations, and using the update material plugin in a case like is, tedious.

Am I making sense? I see it as settable property option, like tile size…
