It doesn’t sound as though others are having the same trouble.
You could try sending the model to a friend to see if it loads on their computer.

When using specularity values of 75 or more MSTS refuses to load the models and crashes. If I use the specularity value of 75 on a route-object I can load it into the editor but not select and move it. I didn’t save the route with this object (afraid of losing the route again) and cannot say if MSTS would load the route.
