It’d be nice to have a rotational andquot;Snap To Angleandquot; control that is independent of the andquot;Snap To Gridandquot; feature.
Because of the way andquot;Snap To Angleandquot; and andquot;Snap To Gridandquot; would interfere with each other, it would probably be best to either 1) Automatically disable andquot;Snap To Gridandquot; during a rotation operation or 2) Make the andquot;Snap To Gridandquot; and andquot;Snap To Angleandquot; mutually exclusive (change the andquot;Snap To Gridandquot; button into a pull-down like the object viewing mode for wireframe, smooth, etc.)
Also, it’d be nice to be able to enable Object Snap but disable Point Snap and vice-versa. andnbsp;I’m not sure that having both enabled simultaneously is any more usable than have just one or the other. andnbsp;For solution 2) above, we could have a Snap pull-down with the following options:
Snap To Grid – Object
Snap To Grid – Point
Snap To Angle
Does this sound feasible? andnbsp;Someone else might have other suggestions that could improve on this – I don’t use a lot of modelling software, so I don’t know what other program do for their snap system.
