Hi everyone i am a new as far as 3D stuff goes. i have a fish that i am sticking bones in. i have got the skeleton in the fish and all the bones enabled, but only one bone is attached to the fish so when i move the fish, only one bone is moving with it, and the rest of the skeleton stays behind.
i am using 3D crafter 8 plus. Thanks-

welcome to the world of 3dcrafter. I have never even used a bone, so you will have explain one day how it all works, when you get it all working.
Anyway, Hello New Zealand and welcome

This is a hierarchy problem, your skeleton needs to be grouped together.
You can do this in the Scene Hierarchy panel, by draging one bone onto another but you may need to do this in a specific way,
The head bone’s connected to the neck bone, the neck bone’s connected to the back bone etc.ect.
Try loading the 3DC default skeleton object into a scene and see how it is grouped together.
You will need a root bone to which all other bones will need to be grouped.
Make sure the axis of the root bone is the same as the 3DC scene layout.
The xyz axis of the root bone needs to be oriented in the same way as say a cube object, so the z axis should point along the fish object from tail to head.
When you have the skeleton as you want it, position it inside the fish object, then in the hierarchy panel drag the fish object onto the root bone of the skeleton.
Now. when the root bone moves so will all the other bones and the fish object.
Maybe a tough subject to get the hang of if you are just starting out with 3DC. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

I should note that you should get the latest version of 3DCrafter 8 or 3DCrafter 9. The previous versions had bugs in the Inverse Kinematics that made them pretty much unusuable.

Thanks for the advice. what is a Kinematic?

It just aids in positioning a skeleton’s bones. If you are curious, once you get the updated version of 3DCrafter installed, drag and drop one of the skeletons from the "skeletons" library, then grab and drag one of the bones and see what happens. That’ll give you a pretty good idea of what "Inverse Kinematics" (IK) is.
