Selecting and moving points on 3D objects

I forgot about ctrl-click on points, faces and edges didn’t I. <!– s:( –><!– s:( –>

I have problems selecting and moving points on 3D objects. I tried to use one of the orthographic views and drag the mouse around the points to be moved but I can only move one of two points using the shift tool. How can I select and move two or more points at the same time?

On your tool selection toolbar (right hand side), the third button down is the group selection tool which you can use to select points or faces in multiples.
Left Click-drag whilst holding alt will select points within your selection area including points on unseen faces.

As an alternative to just selecting points you can also accomplish much by selecting an edge with the edge/face/point tool and moving two points that way. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> If you have more than two then the group selection tool can be used or you can also use the deform or shift tool.

also using the face/edge/point selection tool, select one point, hold the ctrl key down and select more points (on the same object)

The selected points can then be moved as a single group.
(same applies to edges and faces)
