select multiple?

How do you select multiple faces at the same time for texturing?Say i wanted to texture 4 sides of a cube at the same time how do you do that? Thanks!

To select multiple faces ( or points or edges in other circumstances ) select first , hold CTRL key down and select others as required. To texture the selection ( assuming you have a texture selected already), use the paint bucket from the ‘Shape Operations’ tool panel on the left side – NOT the ‘Fill Tool’ from the right hand tool bar as this will filll all faces.

Thanks! I was looking for a way to paint just selected faces and it never dawned on me to look for it on the left!

Hi Folks,

I know this is an old post – but – the “paint brush” (right side) works well on multiple faces as too… With your texture already cropped – just hold down the left click on the first face – and – you can drag to other faces before releasing the click… I probably use this method most often…

Yes, but how do you use it on an uneven surface? From what I can tell there is no way to turn the component while using the paint brush.

Ahh – OK – sorry… I guess you would need to do it in two steps with two different crops… Man – if only 3DCanvas would allow you to remember and name each crop choice – similiar to the process Paint Shop Pro uses with just about every setting they have…

Scott
