Hi all, I have a small problem. I have built a loco in 3Dcrafter and now I find the loco is a bit smaller then it should be.
can or how do I select all parts of the model and rescale it up. Can it be done for the whole model?
I have imported the IGS file back into 3Dc and it appears my scale needs to be increased. The fighure I get in the import box is 1.042 but I would rather not use the IGS file as there are still parts I need to change maybe

Hi Peter,
Right click on the main part and "Select Hierarchy"
Right click on the main part again and select scale/To Size or Scale/By Amount.
Scale/By Amount seems to most logical here, since you know the amount to scale ( 1,042)
Apply this to the x,y and z field and this should scale up your whole model.
Your wheel gauge will also be scaled up, you might have to correct that afterwards.
I would make a backup of the model first of course.
Regards
Gerrit

thanks, yes that is the method I tryed, and it just did not seem to work in version 9.0.4
I will upgrade to 8.1 when I have finished the current project
Trust all are well out there,
It would be nice to in fact hear what others are working on, and some the many tricks they have for getting things done.

I can’t say for certain that it worked in 9.0.4, but I just tried it in 9.1, and seems ok. The key point is to right click on a shape in the "root" of the hierarchy, and then choose "select hierarchy". Otherwise you may miss some of the shapes.
