Room with a view

And so the term andquot;mother-in-law doorandquot; was coined.

Nicely done, Paul. 8) Did you build it with seperate walls, or invert a cube?

Shame there seems to be a 2000 feet drop just outside the door!

it is the one i am using the most right now.

Thanks Kirk

Its probably a question thats been asked many times before but…..

What (not too expensive) renderer would you recommend?

Paul

KB….You are a very funny man!!!

Paul K….Your models are looking good, I whould like to see you get a hold of a good renderer. it will really make your models stand out.

Good job.

Paul_K:

Thanks for answering but I did wonder how you put the background into the scene ( is it just a cube in the back or did you make a real background? )

Sorry Bjorn,

I should have said all done in 3DC, Povray and a nifty landscape generator called Terragen.

You can get it free from

I just created a suitable mountain scene with a couple of clicks then painted it onto a suitably scaled cube, all very easy.

Thanks Bjorn

All done in good old 3DC and Povray.

Paul

Like it ;D ( gaah I just reply that way all the time… :'( ) eeeh… looks great andnbsp;;). Renderer?

/Bjorn

Bjorn

Its just a tall, wide cube with mountain scene painted onto it. I read somewhere that its very tricky (impossible?) andnbsp;to get Povray to render a background so I didn’t even try, just took the easy way out as usual and used a cube.

I had the animation camera positioned inside the ‘room’ and just scaled the cube with the background image on it until it filled the view out of the window.

Hope this makes sense.

Paul

A bit safer with the balcony. Seems to have turned into evening too.

Just used individual cubes for walls etc. Inverting a cube sounds like a good idea though.
