Hi All,
I know – I know – I ask many questions – – – sorry…
<!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
Multi-Object Selection – I’m famiar with – "Hold Ctrl Key", "Select Hierarchy", "Ctrl-A", and using the "Drag Window" to select multiple objects… Even with these four methods – I still have an issue… When modeling a complex model – I need to routinely grab a select portion of the model for a "show only" to gain access to the various components… I do this often (I’d love to see "Show Only" on the tool bar)… I keep finding it difficult to get the parts I want selected…
The "Hold Ctrl Key" is the only one that works but many times I want whole sub assemblies visible – and – the number of parts involved makes it tedious… If the "Hold Ctrl Key" would allow me to select multiple groups – this would work fine – unfortunately – it only allows me to select individual shapes…
The "Select Hierarchy" seems to only work on one group at a time – you can’t use it a second time to grab another groups worth of parts…
The "Ctrl-A" seems to only work on one group at a time – you can’t use it a second time to grab another groups worth of parts…
The "Drag Window" is great but doesn’t work well when you have many small parts in one area – I can’t seem to grab what I want…
Is there another keyboard shortcut or something to allow me to grab multiple groups ???
Regards,
Scott
