Quick Question

I don’t know if the Alt and Shift with the Group Selection Tool (from the right side bar) will do the trick in your case…

I have the same problem (selecting the faces I want), and I have a suggestion:
can’t some of the next versions of 3DC have a way of going thru each (at a time) face thru the use of a button… (I think Bryce has that… Tab I think)

Thank you very much Richard – Problem solved (again) – you must be getting fed up with me by now!!!!!!

Take Care

Jason

Move the new object’s group to the same position as the original group. You can do this via properties. (keeping in mind that the position shown in properties is relative to the parent group not the scene)

I have imported a model from another 3D Modelling Program into 3DC (Because its so much better of course ;D) and it appears that the model has had several objects merged into one, this makes it very difficult to texture. What I need to know is there a way of selecting a goup of faces and seperating them from the rest of the model.

Thanks in advance guys

Jason

Hi Richard,

I have tried this but when I paste the faces back they appear in a different place. Any Ideas

I think what you want to do is Copy/Cut and Paste the faces.

Richard

Thanks for the reply, but what I realy want to do is select a number of faces and ‘break them off of the object’ into a seperate part if possible.
