Problem opening a 3dc file

Any ideas why I can’t open this file:

It’s from the Smithsonian Institution’s 3D fossil collection

I am using 3DCrafter, just downloaded on Windows Vista.

My only idea (and i am not sure if this is it,) is because that the project that you are trying to download if for a different version of 3D Crafter.

Looks like they are not 3DCrafter files at all but are for 3D-CT scanner files (Computed Tomography) – there is a special viewer program on that website.

yES, Sorry I forgot to post this, I emailed them and they pointed me to the advanced instructions. Posted here with permission. So not a 3Dcrafter file.
