:PI’m going to annoy everyone

Thanks Paul. I didn’t think of that sorry I couldn’t reply sooner I’ve been quite busy.

If I ever find my key for 3DC. (lost my system linux andnbsp; accident) andnbsp;I’m then going to annoy everyone asking for all the tiny problems I have. andnbsp;The reasion, because I need help I’ve a specific non-organic but curvy project that I want to do and last time I tried I was plagued with disconnected faces and non planer faces.

(yeah I know its sloppy to work with quadlateral faces but I really could do with giving it a go.)

What I’m really asking is if I ask lots o little silly questions which I’m sure your all used to then will you guys mind or will you just end up flaming me and asking me to search the forum?

Mel…..No kidding-a response from a preimer modler [that can’t be spelled right] makes my day.
andnbsp;I think more should be posted just to see what people are doing.

Thanks guys for all your support. andnbsp;The reasion I have difficult wit quadrelateral faces Is I keep mving the points (by accident) so that the points are not all planar. Forgive my spelling I’ve had a few drinks.

quadlateral faces – can you post a pic?

On the top menu bar, select andquot;Edit using face coordinatesandquot;

You need to experiment with the X,Y andamp; Z buttons and drag the point with the mouse, by selecting the point with the mouse over the face.

e.g. select the X and drag with the mouse. If that doesn’t worn, undo, deselect X, select Z and drag with the mouse again.
Failing that, undo and use the right mouse button to drag (Y direction)

Its not possible to show a pic as I’ve lost everything but…. its quite a simple problem. andnbsp;If you have a foursided face and you need to move a point in one particular direction it doesn’t make much sense to 3DC for obvious reasions. andnbsp;

Does anyone know of a way to move a point but make sure that it moves in such a way as a face remains perfectly flat (planar) andnbsp;

unfortunatly the face doesn’t align to any of the world axis.

(I get this problem a lot)

The reasion that I don’t triangulate is I’d like to be able to extrude the face and yes it should be prefectly flat.
