Object colors in X files

I think you will need to apply a texture (not just a colour) to the parts for this to work. Just make some textures of the colours you want – and apply them to the parts. When you come to load the model into DBP you will also need to supply the textures (just putting them in the same directory as the model should work)

You can select all the same colour parts of a model with a right click ‘select by texture’ and there is a plugin to re-apply textures that youuu might find usefull.

I used AutoCAD 2000 to create 3D model of a car and I placed different groups of objects in AutoCAD layers such as body in one layer, wheels in another layer, tires in another layer, etc, exported the 3D model to 3DS file, imported 3D model into 3DC Pro, and found out that some colors are wrong. I had to change colors of objects. I exported 3D model to DirectX file and when I loaded it into a game that I wrote using Dark BASIC Pro, the whole car is blue, not blue for body, black for tires, and gray for wheels and bumpers. How can I fix the problems?
