see ‘3DC Butt Objects’ plugin …. I use it all the time <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
It’s not a ‘simple click’, but it does the job.

Hi !

First off – great product – I am very new – but – I have found I really like this 3DC product… I played around with TSM and never even got as far as starting a model with it…

I have a few suggestions – while I am brand new at 3D Modeling – I have worked with Visio making 2D network diagrams for years…

I have found that I sorely miss a few of the tools I had avaialable while using Visio… Maybe these features are available – and – I am just unaware of them…

OBJECT ALIGNMENT – When working with numerous objects – I would really like to be able to align objects to one another – on any axis… That way you work to get the first one correctly positioned and with a simple click – you can align the rest of them… It would be very helpful to be able to align on: center – top – bottom – left – right… I find I spend a great deal of time trying to get objects perfectly aligned…

OBJECT DISTRIBUTION – another tool that would help me greatly – and – speed my ability to model… For example – when working with five parts – you align the first part and last part – then click – the remaining parts should be evenly distributed between those two points…

VIEW PORT MEMORY – Would it be possible to have the View Ports remember the last configuration when switching Views ? When switching between a single view port and four view ports – you always have to reset you positions and zooms… It would be alot more convenient to remember you last positions – and – return to them when switching…

Anyway – these are a few newb suggestions… Again – you have a great product and I enjoy using it very much… Thanks for making it !

Regards,
Scott
