nv4_disp.dll windows has been shut down

Fixed it, not sure why. I uninstalled the nvidia video driver and upgraded 3DC. then re-installed the video driver. I am guessing that, that was some weird kind of error.

I haven’t installed 3DC for a few months, I knew this was a problem before, but I finally need to use it again, and I knew the time was coming.

I learned on this…

However, whenever I try to install run it after the new upgrade, (ofcourse I uninstalled first.)
I am getting the blue screen of death.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file nv4_disp.dll
page_fault_in_non_paged_area

I am running a nvidea 5700LE video card, and I am guessing that it was an nvidia upgrade that caused this.

the program comes online, compatibilty tests are done, and all the windows start popping up. then boom instantly, it goes to blue screen.

So if I uninstall my display driver for nvidia I can go into the 3DC and it doesn’t crash.

I am using a P4 HP Pavillion 512 memory XPPro

I am wondering if I could force 3DC to start in compatibilty mode if this would help?
can anyone tell me how to do this?

or any other suggestions?
