There are two enhancements to MSTS export that would be very useful to most MSTS modelers.
1) Tagging of primitives or groups for inclusion in a specific lod or lod range. Even a scheme based on a prefix to the name would be useful, andquot;[1-3,5]andquot; could mean include in lods 1 thru 3 and 5. I do have a need to include an object in a single lod, usually the farthest.
2) Tagging of groups for export as sub-objects. Currently the exporter seems to roll up all groups into a single kuju sub-object. Sub-objects are key to making MSTS signals with optional parts.
3DC remains my MSTS modeling app of choice with gmax being (painfully) used to address the two areas above.
