MSTS Change from beta ?

Hi,

I just responded to that in the MSTS forum. There were changes, but they were documented in the Help file. But it might not have been obvious from the help file that they were critical changes (they were).

Richard, I posted this question first on the MSTS 3DC forum, but then saw your comments about supporting pro users here. Hope you don’t mind me posting it twice.

Both ianm42 and myself are seeing changes in the lighting effects between beta and 4.2. I’m putting a tutorial together on the Scotsman 3ds conversion and exported a file from 4.2 to get some extra screen shots. However, I found the loco was very dark.. much darker and ‘flatter’ than the tender. I checked this by using one of the old ‘s’ files from beta and that was fine, the loco matching the tender very well. Have you changed anything that might cause this, or is it possible that I’ve changed an option in the program somewhere without realising the effect?… although I have played around with things that I thought might cause a change.

Mike

No problem at all.

I’m considering reading/posting to MSTS since it is a Pro-only feature. But I don’t want to make it Pro-only forum since I want people who are interested in 3DC to have the opportunity to read it.

Thanks Richard, sorry for the crossed posts <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

I’ll try it out and include it in the tutorial, if I can make the right progress.
