Merging Textured Primitives loses Texture Informaion

I’m wondering myself if this is ‘merge’ or the other options, such as ‘union’, ‘intersection’ and ‘difference’, which do not preserve texture information.

In 8.2, I find that when merging two primitives which have been textured, the resulting unified primitive has lost all the texture information. In more complicated merges, I find additional polygons are frequently created which I then need to delete.

If I’m not mistaking merging of two textured primitives had this behaviour in earlier versions also.
Actually depends if you do a union, subtraction or simple merge object (that does not affect any polygons).
If the merge in any way affects the polygons texturing is lost.
