Look at Selection from hierarchy

The andquot;Look at Selectionandquot; only appears to work when one right-clicks on a selected object in the perspective / orthographic window.

It appears that I cannot do this from the object / scene hierarchy list. (Can one do this?)

It would really help locate an object if one could select an object in the hierarchy window, right-click and select andquot;look at selectionandquot; or some equivalent.

I apologize if this functionality is accessible elsewhere. One of the reasons I figured that this feature might not be present is that it would be hard to determine which direction or vantage point to set up the viewpoint, whereas when one selects the object in the perspective view, the view only needs to translate to center the object in the viewport.

So, having a functionality that preserves the viewport direction with some position that provides a view of the object with a particular default size in the viewport, might be useful.

Thanks,
Cal.
