I like your ‘Keys’ Paul_K. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –> Lovely modeling and textures. I like to model all sorts of little things like this i.e stuff lying around the house, small things and things that look easy to model. You can learn alot about modeling this way I think. Some times I think something is easy and then…. well I run into some snags.
But I’m sure to fix this, <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="
" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –> and in the prosess I’ve actualy found a few ways to do the same thing, which I think is very, very, very good.
Of coarse, this is all due to Amabilis and there fantastic 3D modeling app – 3DC <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –> <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –> I used the freeware version for about 3 months… animating cubes and spheres around the place <!– s:roll: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!– s:roll: –> then I created a Whale, using the tutorial that came with the programe.. then I animated it a little and then I [i:1c1rkcga]HAD[/i:1c1rkcga] to buy the full product. From then on I’ve been hooked <!– s:D –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt="

Like you I try to model things that look fairly simple to do, its a good way to learn.
From what I have seen 3DC offers most of the tools supplied by other programs which cost many times the price and is comparatively easy to use.
I occasionally buy UK 3D magazines (3D World – [img:2hqzmszd]http://www.3dworld.co.uk[/img:2hqzmszd]

I also get 3DWorld Mag every month, for two and a half years. There is a great wealth of 3D apps that come with the free cd on the mag. I’ve tried them all. Some are very good and some are poor enough, some are cheap and some are very $$pricey$$ <!– s:o –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_surprised.gif" alt=":o" title="Surprised" /><!– s:o –>. And no, I’ve never seen a review on 3DC <!– s:( –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt="
" title="Sad" /><!– s:( –>, which I find a bit strange as 3DC is the best app, for me anyway. ITs just very easy to get a grip with it. The support is very good, and the up-date and up-grades are only great, just as I’m thinking, wouldn’t it be nice to have this or that or the other thing and a few weeks later it’s there. <!– s8-) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="
