Just another Idea for 3DC,Please Look

A work around for this might be flip the object, texture it, and then flip it back… Worth a try.

Hello,
I know Richard you pointed out that 3DC . 6 has been laid out any any new ideas will not be added unless there needed.
Well, I got one,
A flip command in the unwrapping editor to flip the mapping cords or mirror them. As of now theirs a rotate, move,X,Y,Z,and reset.
Now if 3DC already supports this or will it I don’t know.
The need, Well for simple stuff like mapping a box I wouldn’t even think of mentioning it but for more complex models, manualy flipping the cords can be like Brain surgery.
The advantages of this from different readings on UV mapping and unwrapping I have read all suggest that Flipping the cords be more like a common practice when your model is going to have parts that are Identically textured or matched. For example with my last model when it came to mapping the boots to the texture map, I want both boots to match for as most shoes (at least the ones I buy) Match Identicly. It makes more cents to map out one boot and then just FLIP the cords of the other boot over top of the first one. Plus its suggested that this method be done to save on texturing mapping space.
Well, that’s it.Is it a need??IMO yes. Trust me I wasn’t going to ask but this is a task that can add considerable time to mapping that a simple click of a mouse could do in seconds.
Thank you ,
KYRIL

Thats OK
Just figured the worst sugestions I could ask are the ones not asked.
Thank you
KYRIL

I can see the value of this, but I can’t promise anything for 6.0. Sorry.

Richard
