introducing myself

man your not kidding about it being a headache. i’ve been having trouble with a.i. but i’m about to order the new dark a.i dll for dark basic pro which is supposed to take a lot of math out of it. its been getting good reviews from the guys at dbp so maybe it will help me too.
thanks for the advice, pirate

hello, my name is pirate. i just wanted to introduce myself to get my name out there. i program games in dark basic pro and i am getting fair at it. i just got 3DC pro and it is awsome! i have been using a lot of free applications and combining their efforts to put models and levels in my games. 3DC pro does it all. i’m still learning it so i might need some help from y’all later.
later, pirate

Welcome to the forums…hope you find 3DC useful.
Any questions, just ask away.

Bazza

hey, bazza i have seen a lot of your work and noticed that you give a lot of people advice on this forum. i think we need a lot more people like you in the 3DC community….
by the way your work is awsome and i am thinking about using some of it in a game some time. when i do i’ll put it on the forum for free download…
have a good day, pirate

Hi Pirate, thanks for your kind remarks, there are quite a few forum users here willing to help if you get stuck with anything.
James(Polybuilder) has just got back on line, he’s getting to be a very good animator…far better than me.

Can’t help much with Dark Basic problems…I use Blitz3D.

The only advice I can give regarding games, is to not bite of more than you can chew to start with. I’ve found it’s much more enjoyable to create a small demo game that incorporates all the features you would have in a full blown game.
Even this could easily take 6 months or more if you are a lone worker but you learn a lot along the way.

Hope everything goes well for you (which it won’t) HeHeHe. Getting everything to work as you would want can be a nightmare sometimes.

Bazza
