interior walls don’t show up!

Setting a higher transparency(tried 1 and 2) didn’t help. In fact it seems to make the sim crash. andnbsp; One thing that I didn’t mention andamp; may make a difference is that the interior has it’s own seperate texture. I am using 2 tga files, 1 for exterior and 1 for interior. andnbsp;Perhaps I’m doing something incorrectly there? andnbsp; For instance, the smokestack shows down through the roof and inside the cabin. andnbsp; It can be seen thru the windows from outside view. It is textured from the exterior tga. However, the stove which it is touching, is textured with the interior texture and doesn’t show thru the exterior window. andnbsp;Again, the interior is visible from the andquot;5andquot; view (passenger) which is set to inside the caboose. andnbsp;Would you be willing to take a look at the file and textures, Ian?
Mike

I made the interior walls by copying and pasting the caboose body and then shrinking it slightly and then inverting it. andnbsp;I then textured the interior walls with a second .tga file. andnbsp; Both the exterior walls and the interior walls utilize transparencies, if it matters… andnbsp; Now the proble; inside the simulator, the interior walls don’t show up when looking in through the exterior windows. andnbsp; They do show up when using the andquot;5andquot; passenger view, which has it’s point of view set up inside the caboose. andnbsp; The walls also show up fine in 3dCP when looking in through the exterior windows. andnbsp; What can I try?
Thanks
Mike

Yep, you need to use a higher value for ‘transparent’ when painting the interior faces to whet you used painting the exterior ones. Its to do with ‘alpha Priority’.

It sounds like you need to set Transparent to a higher value. Did you use a value of 1 when you applied the material? If so, you should probably use a value of 2.

Will do. Thanks!
Get them to you tonight.

If you send the files to me (<!– e –>richard@amabilis.com<!– e –>), I’ll have a look at it.
