Try what Geo said but first
andquot;centre selection on frameandquot; of your objevt
move your object to 0,0,0
then select your faces
ctrl x
ctrl v
select the andquot;newandquot; object and move it to 0,0,0.
I have tried this on several objects and it appears to andnbsp;work….

Is there a way to unlink a face or faces ( as a group, like surfaces ) from a solid mesh ?
here’s a picture to show what I mean.
I did this by loading a cube from the objects panal, inverted it,selected a face then painted it,saved the cube as a .DXF file then reloaded the .DXF file. Now in the heirarchy panal it shows (2) objects.
I want to use this for when Im creating a game level using solid object geomitry and need to be able to save the file with different names for selected objects, vertexes,or faces, witch ever one it is.
Please respond,Im on to somthing hot here for creating indoor game levels.

Can’t you select the face, then cut it, then paste it as a new object? andnbsp;you might have to move it back into position.

No,Geo,
The main idea is to deselect the face in place, with simple geomitry your Idea could work but in a complex model this could become a brain frying task,+trying to realign a face after it has been moved out of place if its not realigned exactly where it was can leave undesirable Crackes that can be anoying.
Thanks anyway.
