After examining the problem further, I have discovered a real problem with the beta version of directx 9, which was causing the error. I have since installed the retail version of directx9 and this has fixed the problem. Sorry for my late reply, to top it all off my hard disk failed, so I have been busy installing a new one and then restoring all my files from backup.

I keep getting Error Message #28 and I don’t know what to do to fix this new problem.
Has anyone else experienced this. I am running windows XP with a celeron 1.0Ghz processor and a Leatek Geforce 2 MX400 Graphics card with all the latest drivers and Directx installed.
Screen resolution is 1024 x 768.

Can you tell me more about when you receive this error? Is there any pattern?
