Help, i need bending.

Hi and welcome to 3dc

You can do this a couple of ways – I think the official way is to ….

In the andquot;bend windowandquot;* rotate the object so it lines up with the bend line – does that make sense ?

So if you want to do what I think you want to do <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> Left click on the red rotate object thingy* and move the mouse back/forward to line up the object as required and away you go…..

* one day I will learn the names….one day….

Hello fellow modelers.
andnbsp;Can you tell me if i can bend an object along it’s Z axiz.
I am trying to make a bridge for Microsoft train sim.The bed would be 100meters long 2 meters wide 1 meter thick. I want to curve this bed to match the 100m. 20 degreecurve track in MTS.All i seem to be able to do is bend the end face. can i bend that length along the Z axis?. Any suggestion would be welcomed.

Is the bed of the bridge just one solid object? If so you may have to divide the upper and lower edges along both sides of the bed, give it multiple points along these edges, and then bend. The number of divisions can be set by right-clicking the Divide Operation button and setting the amount, then performing the divide operation.

Once this is done you should be able to bend along any of the axis… <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
