I know that there are many ways to make objects like this one. I actually made this one but I am going to make leafs for a tree and then I will need to make many hundreds of them and I dont want them to look the same. And if I am going to make them like I did with this one it will take days or maby weeks to make just the leafs, and I want to make different sorts of trees so it will just get impossible.

Interesting….what’s the purpose of doing that?

It seems to me that an automatic algorithm probably wouldn’t quite do as good a job of it as a human would if he/she did it by hand. Like, it’d have to build faces all around the holes, and that could get pretty messy. andnbsp;It also seems that the code Richard would need to write would be overly complex in relation to the desired effect, and I really can’t see any sort of useful task for a tool like that. Especially when alphablending fakes it so well.

If it were me, though, I’d start with a subdivided plane of appropriate density and shape the inner faces to follow the contours of the holes. Then just select all the hole faces and hit the Delete key.

Heck, you could even use the surface builder tool for that…use the image as a background and then model the solid areas with surfaces.
