Export Coach

Hi,
I am becoming crazy, I don’t succeed in exporting the trains. I also have this project to export:
[img:22ovy21l]http://www.amicitreni.net/public/data/E402-134/E484-021.jpg[/img:22ovy21l]
<!– m –>http://www.amicitreni.net/public/data/E … 84-021.jpg<!– m –>

I’d recommend this:

1) remove the incorrect naming from your groups
2) export the coach and name it ‘coachtest’ or something else very simple.
3) create the wagon blueprint
4) BEFORE ‘preview’, right click on the model file and choose ‘export’
5) click ‘preview’

That’s the procedure I used successfully. If that works, then you can look at giving your coach a proper name. Remember, that if the export gets broken somehow with a specific name, it’s very difficult to ‘fix’ it since the asset editor keeps loading the broken one. Choosing a different name is the only reliable procedure I have found.

1) For passenger coach there is the coach blueprints. <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>
2) Into 3DC i have given a specific name to all the parts as is written into RS doc 4.07
Wheel wh##
Bogie bo##
etc..
3) the blueprints has to be complete as stated into RS doc 2.07… bogey blueprints have to be done as well.

Hi,
perhaps I am stupid, following list of the screens with the passages that I perform for exporting in RS:
It structures Project 3DC:

Passages ‘Asset Editor’:
[img:3qxhcxys]http://www.allfreenet.it/pasquale/RS/RS02.jpg[/img:3qxhcxys]
<!– m –>http://www.allfreenet.it/pasquale/RS/RS02.jpg<!– m –>

Checking, I have noticed that when I import my project with ‘Asset Editor’ a line appears me that doesn’t convince me.
If I open a project of example it is everything ok.
Me where I am wrong?

Can you send me a download link to your updated probject? (<!– e –>support@amabilis.com<!– e –>) I can look to see if I can get the current version to load in the Asset Editor correctly.

Oh, I think I get the same UNICODE message.

I wonder if this could be a ‘location’ issue. Maybe I’ll try changing my location to Italy (correct?) and see what results I get.

Hi Richard,

I have sent you the email with the link to my project. Yes, I’m Italian.

Thanks

Hi Richard,
do you have news? <!– s:D –><!– s:D –> <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>

I think it’s likely a matter of following the ‘rules’ for creating a coach. I think there is more to this than just creating a ‘wagon’ blueprint.

I got the same results as you. But, even if I export a very simple shape I get the same result. It is as if Rail Simulator is ignoring the model entirely.

I’m confident my export is correct.

I think the best thing to do is to try following the tutorial for creating a coach here: [img:10nvnkju]http://amabilis.com/forumattachments/a/tpc/f/50410947331/m/59010820341[/img:10nvnkju]
Coach Tutorial

You can ignore the NON-UNICODE message, I get it all the time and it does not seem to affect anything. There are certain fields in the blueprint that are mandatory though. For a simple wagon it is all the fields shown in my tutorial.

In your blueprint you have not specified a .csv file for the coach numbers list, for instance. You also need to create a ‘bogey blueprint’ and reference it in your ‘coach blueprint’.

You should also Export before you Preview, I believe.

Hi and thanks to everybody, me unfortunately continuous not to succeed in exporting vehicles. I abdicate us.

When I create my tutorials I’ll try to get the model you sent to me in to Train Simulator as a coach. Be patient though, it may be a while.

Hi Richard,
then aspect your tutorial?

Hi Pasquale
Have you been able to get your coach exported in to Rail Simulator yet. I am having the same problem trying to export a boxcar , All I get is the little triangle in the preview window..
