Hi all. I’ve read somewhere to "compact" my object so 3DC loads the model faster and that’s the way that I have always done. I was working on a model and hit "compact" and got an error #9. I tried a few more times and still got the same thing. Then I created only one face and merged it to my model and hit "compact", no issue but as soon as I merged another cube, the infamous error #9 message again. What is going on all of a sudden? Thank you for any help. <!– s:? –><!– s:? –>
Here’s a screenshot of the error which I get when I "compact".

what version are you using please??
7.1.2.0
Now it gets stranger. I merged a square primitive to the model but I did not "compact" the object this time and saved as a different file name and when I reloaded the new file there was no model. <!– s:( –><!– s:( –> Maybe the Administrator has an idea of what’s going on?
Ok, I have it working for now. I deleted the last few "faces" that I created for my model and it appears to have solved my issue for now. I won’t know until I get all the "faces" replaced. Maybe there’s too many faces for one model per square foot. This is the largest model that I’ve done so maybe I have too much attached to one object and I have to break it down. We’ll see. Trial and error I guess. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
Maybe 1,000 points is the limit for the model crashed again but I’m finishing the other section of my model as a "child" object and so far so good. Have a nice Memorial Day weekend to all my U.S counterparts. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
