difficulties with selecting points etc

Played a little and found: one division of a line of a rectangle is ok. If I divide the parts of the line again only the lines of the first rectangle divide ok: I get points I can join etc. THe second rectangle turns darker after the first division of a line and I can chose only the result of the first division of a line. The other divided line does not highlight and the point of division does not show.

With the new 5.0.5 beta I have great difficulties with selection of points and polys. They simply don’t show, e.g. when I divide a rectangle twice part of the resulting lines and points do not highlight and are not selectable. I have this problem only with 5.0.5beta. Has something changed I have to do before selecting points and I don’t know?

I even know what I did that caused it. Darn…. the thing that I did resulted in a significant improvement in performance too, and now I have to undo it. Oh well. Maybe I can think of a work-around.
