Creating textures with specular

There’s lots on my plate right now. I’ll have a look sooner rather than later. Probably this week.

From reading the docs, I presume you can use a .tga file with the specular info in the alpha channel. If so, which slot would you load the texture to in 3DC, the primary slot or the specular slot (or both?). The use the TrainSpecEnvMask shader.
I’ve had a few go’s but had no success. Any help would be appreciated.

I didn’t succed either.
I tried a few things including using DDS format.

If DDS is needed before transformation with ToACE, what KRS compatible tools are available apart from photoshop?
I tried the nvidia photoshop plugin in paintshop pro XI but it doesn’t work.
Eventually, I used Paint.NET but after ToACE conversion, the texture is not correct in KRS preview.

(while testing, even using the official tools, I corrupted a route… KRS is currently being reinstalled)

To be honest, I’ve given up trying to do this now. It really need Richard to let us know how to setup the files in 3DC to do this.
