crashes…

One thing to try is to export the model and then import it into a new file. That would cure any database issues. Probably an OBJ export and then import would be the best, but DirectX may be a good choice also if you have only BMP textures.

I’ve deleted and rebuilt offending part to no avail… It always seems that the extruded part I use to make my TRUCK FRAMES gives me an error ONLY if I Right-Click and select properties. I can manipulate nearly every other part on the model. ERROR #94

Does Optimising the part prior to right clicking make any difference ?

I’ve had this very same problem too concerning certain parts that I need to manipulate within the model when things don’t ‘look’ right. I was getting the same exact error and someone told me what to do to prevent that in future model projects. Unfortunately, I forgot what it was, so….

I deleted the offending part in the file (model) itself, and started a new file just to make that part using the same exact grid dimensions and background templates. Once finished, I saved the part in the ‘Objects Library’ and loaded the original model and selected the ‘new’ part from the Objects Library and inserted into it’s proper space. It worked. I remember doing this for a set of trucks I was making for a RS27 model I am working on now. I’ve had to go this route a few times. However, since I upgraded to 6.5, I haven’t run into this problem since 6.0. Not sure if this made the difference, but I haven’t had to make a single part to transfer from the Object Library. Good Luck Pete…

Have you tried compacting the part? It could be a database error of sorts.

well, I’m not sure if it means anything, but nearly ALL the models I’m working on started life as v5.7 or early v6 models. I’ve tried OPTIMIZE on the part and compacting the whole model… same results…

I’m kinda stumped. I believe the database issue.
