I’m having a little bit of trouble making character models for my 3D shooter…I don’t know where to start. What do you guys do to make your characters? (Humans) I’m not sure how to make the legs, arms, body (make it look right), etc. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

This is a very basic, lowest poly possible type figure, but quite often you need these to ‘fill out’ the game.

This site is fantastic. Take a look in the tutorial section under Cinama4D…Creating a Generic dude. Most of the tutorial can be translated to 3DC.
The site also has other excellent tutorials, The PhotoShop one is quite good and again can be translated to most other paint packages.
Also take a look at the FreeStuff section..you will find a few figures here you can use..BUT remember to give credits if you do.

But the one I really like is the Dwarf. It’s fully animated with files for Blitz, Milkshape and a .x file you can load into 3DC but without the animation.
