Challenge April/May

I think we will bend rule 1 <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

I will change it from andquot;All pictures must be rendered only in the 3DC engine.andquot; to andquot;All entries must [b:3mzb4neb]include[/b:3mzb4neb] a picture rendered with the 3DC engine – this will allow you to use external programs to render the ‘final’ picture(eg povray or maybe some ‘in game shots’ of the models ?andquot;) – please list all programs used.andquot;

No problem using Photo textures <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

This challenge is a first here at 3DC as it will have PRIZES[/color:flmf9gpk] ;D

The prize will be a free upgrade to the latest version of 3DC – If you already own v6.x and you win then you will be entitled to a free upgrade to version 7.x (when released <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> )

modelling subject – anything [/size:flmf9gpk](scifi/trains/buildings/characters/etc ) <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

1. All entries must [b:flmf9gpk]include[/b:flmf9gpk] a picture rendered with the 3DC engine – this will allow you to use external programs to render the ‘final’ picture (eg. povray or maybe some ‘in game shots’ of the models ?) – please list all programs used.
2. All models will remain the property of the modeller – although Amabilis requests the right to place pictures of them on their web site/other media for advertising (credit to the modeller will be given).
3. All models must be done in 3DC.
4. There will be two prizes – 1 for the free version of 3DC and one for the lp/pro versions
5. You must list any external programs that you use (to create textures, unwrap models,etc).
6. The challenge is set to end on May 31, 2003 – winners to be announced by June 7th, 2003
7. andquot;Oldandquot; work may be entered – providing it meets the above rules.

Amabilis’ 3DC – Modeling, Unwrapping, Animation and More.[/size:flmf9gpk]

This sounds like an interesting challenge. andnbsp; Does stipulation number 1 exclude the use of 3DC’s Pov-Ray extensions? andnbsp; Also, are photo textures acceptable?
