Thanks Paul, that’s close but not exactly what I’m looking for.
Shift center on selection I need to have a suitable selection.
I can do it now but it’s a little work. Create a new group with the pivot where I want it and then move all parts to that.
Will have a look at your plugins and perhaps I should dig into plugins myself.

The more I use 3DC the more I learn and like it.
But I have not yet found a couple of operations that I miss from other tools.
First to be able to move the pivot point of an object by entering the coordinates.
Just like the shift-to operator only it should move the pivot point only.
Second to be able to split an object in two by selecting the faces that should be converted to an object of its own.
Hope someone has a simple answer to this, Anders

The updated ‘ShiftCenter on Selection’ operation allows you to select various points/edges/faces and shift the axis without moving the object (a recent change)
Alternatively the ‘shiftgroupandanimations’ script allows you to enter shift values for all 3 group axes relative to it’s original position and keeping the animations correct.
There is also a Split Faces plugin that does what you require.
