A bit of Friday afternoon trivia:
The area of a 3D triangle is half the magnitude of the cross product of two of the side vectors <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="

Consequently if you select one or more faces on an object (or Select/All/Faces) and run this script you’ll get the total area of the faces.
If you’re working in metres, the script also shows the area in square feet (times by 10.7639104)
