Build 1397 – Problem manually animating siderods (Resolved

I think that it was corrupt animation. It could have happened a bunch of ways. There certainly were bugs that could have caused it. I’ll call this resolved.

I manually animated the siderods of a steam loco and when stepping through each frame, the animation looks good. When I play the animation, the siderods flop around as they rotate with the wheel. In Railworks, the siderods only roatate 360 degrees with the wheel. (No flopping around.)

Can you send me the models? (for this one and the other bug you reported today) With textures. (<!– e –>support2@amabilis.com<!– e –>) Maybe split the textures into a different email so it won’t be too big.

Was this animated in Build 1397? From scratch, I mean.

As with the other ptoblem, this could be related to the shift operation too.

I’m also wondering if perhaps 3DC animated some disabled operations. I’ll have to look into it more.

Actually, it’s more than I thought. Very interesting.

I created a new model in build 1397 and animated it using the Animate Rods/Pistons plugin and also manually animating the rods. I was careful not to do any operations while in animation mode. In both cases, the animation worked correctly in Railworks. So, the problem was mine and not 3DC’s. I apologize.
